These terms apply when you use this site or buy something from it. They are written plainly on purpose. Placing an order means you accept them.
Deep Cinema Film Club is a film club and clothing label based in Los Angeles, California. Throughout this page, "we" and "us" mean Deep Cinema Film Club, and "you" means the person using the site.
All prices are in US dollars and exclude shipping and sales tax, which are calculated at checkout. We can change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order.
Payment is handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details. Your card is charged when the order is placed.
An order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send the confirmation email. Until then we can decline or cancel an order and refund you in full — for example if an item is out of stock, if a price or description was clearly wrong, or if we suspect fraud.
Stock is managed by hand on a small run. If two people buy the last of a size within moments of each other, we will contact whoever we cannot fulfil, offer an alternative, and refund in full if they would rather not wait.
These are short runs. Colours shift between screens, and screen printing and embroidery vary by a few millimetres between garments. Photographs are accurate but not a guarantee of exact shade or placement. Once a run sells out it may not return.
Care instructions are on the label and on the product page. Follow them; washing damage is not a fault.
We ship worldwide from Los Angeles. Shipping options and costs are calculated at checkout based on the destination. These are small runs packed by hand, so we do not promise a dispatch or delivery date. We will tell you when your order is on its way, and transit time after that depends on where it is going and the service you chose.
International orders may attract customs duties, import taxes or carrier handling fees set by the destination country. Those are not included in what you pay us, we cannot predict them, and they are your responsibility as the importer. Refusing a parcel to avoid them is not a return.
Risk passes to you on delivery. If a parcel is confirmed delivered but missing, message us and we will help you chase it, though we cannot control what happens after the carrier marks it received.
All sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges, and we do not refund, for a change of mind or an incorrect size choice. Orders can be cancelled for a full refund at any point before they ship.
This does not apply to items that arrive faulty, damaged in transit, or different from what was ordered. Those we replace or refund in full at our cost, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under California law in respect of goods that are faulty or not as described. Set out in full on our Returns page, which forms part of these terms.
The Deep Cinema Film Club name, logo, artwork, photography and site design belong to us. Buying a garment buys you the garment. It does not license the artwork. Do not reproduce our designs on your own products or use our marks to sell anything.
You are welcome — encouraged — to post photographs of yourself wearing the clothing, and to tag us. If you tag us we may reshare your photograph on our own channels with credit. Tell us if you would rather we did not and we will take it down.
Do not attempt to break, scrape, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, and do not use it for anything unlawful. We may refuse service to anyone who does.
If you give us your address we will email you about the shop, screenings and new work. Every email has an unsubscribe link. How we handle your data is set out on our Privacy Policy page.
Club screenings are private, informal and free. Nothing on this site is a ticket, and buying something does not entitle you to attend. Dates, films and locations change.
We do our best to keep the site up and the information on it correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The site is provided as is.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot legally be limited. You may have statutory rights under California and federal consumer law that these terms do not affect.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute goes to the courts of Los Angeles County, California. Before that, message us — most things are settled in one exchange.
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top tells you when this page last changed.
